FINALLY... 3 events over and i can rest for 2 days before the last event! My life's so dead when working for these events man. And i woke up at 10.30am just now when i planned to sleep till afternoon. Guess i'm used to waking up at this timing.
The first day was the launch of the August Magazine at National Museum of Singapore. Supposed to work from 1pm-11pm but only went back at around 12.30am. Shit... Didn't get additional pay for that also AND our pay for the four days DON'T add up to $600! Anyway, the first day was the most relaxed day la. Vincent and I were the bartenders for juices, wine etc. While Apple & Harris were the bartenders for another other drinks. Learnt quite a few things la.. Now i know how to open a wine bottle, pour red wine etc.. Secretly drank a sip of champagne. Unfortunately, my way of pouring champagne is wrong cuz the bottle's too heavy la, can't carry it with only one hand. Can be quite slack at times la, but when people start coming to the bar to get drinks really very busy. Those people drank champagne like they didn't drink for days la. They kept requesting for it and soon they finished up all the champagne. Anyway, it's a fun experience. =]
Second day was IMF Reception at Parkview Square. We met at Bugis at 8.45am. This place is really really beautiful but we were not allow to take any photo of it. =( Quite a slack day at the beginning cuz we were all sitting down cleaning plates, forks etc. And we just stoned there and wait for our make-up and hair to be done la. AND the make-up and hair really very retro lor. They should be make-up aunties instead of make-up artist. The auntie sprayed so much hair spray on our hairs. She seemed quite pissed off la cuz i've got really thick hairs. And everyone was laughing at each other la. Super thick make-up and sort of curry puff head at the top. Damn funny. We should have wore a Cheong-sam instead. I was assigned to be drinks butler la. And my leg was in great pain after awhile. I really regretted buying this shoes with heels. And i got quite frustrated la cuz those delegates keep saying NO to the drinks. Some more they super tall la.. Have to looked up to them. I forgotten was which the in-charged say this to me 'You know why people don't want your drinks?' then he brought me to a guy with lots of varieties of drinks on his tray. Then i told him we were told to carry any amount we're comfortable with lo. Really feel like slapping his face man. So clever you carry yourself lor. 2 particular in-charged really pissed me off. The unlucky thing was that i only wore the left side of the contact lens for day 2 and 3 cuz i've hurt my right eye for wearing the contact lens too long and it looked so red. My vision was quite blur, imagine one side's clear and another is blur. Okay.. And we cabbed home at around 9pm. Spent quite some time washing those hair spray on my hair and removing the make-up.
Third day also IMF reception thing la. Reached NMOS at 12pm. Many of them had food poisoning cuz of the crayfish they consumed last night. Luckily i wasn't in the mood to eat any except for 2 chocolates. A lot were sent home la. And we were not supposed to mention any thing about this incident. Creative Eateries is really a screw-up company. There's a few occasions that tells us so. Too much to elaborate ar. Again we had the same hair and make-up again with additional of glitters around our eyes. Horrible la but we've accept it already. Quite slack before the event starts. And i saw qing there, at first he couldn't recognise me la with those make-up. Guess he was working for Biennale or what la. They bought us pizzas and bugers for lunch. I guess they have a motive la which is to shut our mouth about the food poisoning. Again i was drinks butler for the day, i broke a champagne glass on the start of the event la. Hai.. Was so embarrassed and shocked. My leg was super pain again la at around 9pm. So feel like crying lor.. And i was showing that kind of tired face already lor.. Couldn't smile k.. And when i was refilling my cups at the bar counter, zhen huang said 'hi pretty, you looked more pretty when you're tired.' and when i went back to refill again, he said 'oh.. you're getting prettier and prettier.' And there's another in-charged who was an uncle la.. He's a really a nice leader lor. He'll ask me to relax and show me a thumbs-up when i walked passed him unlike a few others who can really pissed people off. Really a nice uncle! End the day at around 12am. They kept rushing us home cuz they don't want pay for our cab fees. Then took Bus 14 with a few others to Clementi and cabbed home alone. Sian.. Have to wash clean my hair then can sleep. Intended to wash my hair the next morning cuz i was super tired but i felt sorry for my hair. The hair spray is really damaging. =( Now got panda eyes liao la! Miss Hy so much.. Didn't see him for a week already, have to wait till this weekend. Shall watched 'Goong' once more with Chinese translation this time round. Hai.. 1 more event to go and it's the same duration as yesterday from 6.30pm-10.30pm =( some more we always stand by an hour before.
